Fact: We must take responsibility for the education of our children. You cannot trust a system that is destroying black children by the boatload and expect it to give your child an adequate educational background. Millions of black parents are educating their children at home, even if their kids are still in public school during the day. Millions of black parents are turning off the radio and not allowing their kids to watch white-owned, racist television networks like BET and VH1. Let me say this bluntly: The school system does not care about your child. The school-to-prison pipeline is 100% real, and prisons are being filled with African-Americans, primarily black males, because these young men are an extremely profitable commodity for the prison-industrial complex. Educated black men don’t typically end up in prison, because uneducated black men are the real targets of this heinous, corrupt system. If you allow your child to be uneducated or even miseducated, there is a very good chance they will end up incarcerated.
