Fact of Judaism I am marrying you because I want to give you my love and share our worlds as one I would like to share, In simple terms ... How to make a marriage work. (Remember you both decided to marry each other, there must have been a good reason why you married each other... Please read in simple terms how Judaism sees your union and how to keep it together for life!) The marriage of a man and a woman is like the marriage of the Sun and Moon to each other. G-d created Men like the Sun and woman the Moon. (Zohar) The sun never changes, it keeps giving the same way. The moon receives, and able to reflect the light too. Each day the sun shines the same way, and the moon can change daily! The moon can not shine, unless the sun gives light. A man must know, your woman is waiting for you to communicate to her.... Fill her with light; then she can take your words and be filled and shine. A man who doesnt communicate, will have a frustrated wife. (How many times does your wife beg you... Please speak to me? Please tell me what you are thinking ... How you feel etc.) Just as the sun never changes, so to change is difficult for the man. Yet a woman can change almost every day. For example, when a guy moves in a home.... He gets bent out of shape if one piece of furniture is moved out of place. Whereas a woman is constantly re arranging the furniture. If a man just recognizes the beauty of the MOON DANCE, he wouldnt scream and get bent out of shape. When is there a FULL MOON? When the moon is furthest from the sun, and it can reflect a FULL moon to the earth. But when the MOON is close to the sun, the earth only sees the back of the moon, and there is NO moon light. Our rabbis teach us, that when a man tries controlling and smothering his wife, by keeping her close to him, she can not shine. But if she can express and fly .... She reflects all his light and is a proud FULL MOON. Its simple. If men just keep giving and embrace the daily changes of the Moon Dance, the universe of the couple will be amazing. Remember a happy Mans life, is always with a Happy wife!!! -Rabbi Chaim Mentz
