Fahan School, Timor Leste Update: the last few days have been filled with some amazing connections with the kids at SOLS – we collected their weekly fire wood supplies with them, which was a great way to make friends and find out about life in Atauro Island. We joined them for their afternoon lessons and they were presenting short speeches about why life and unity is important to our lives – we did some short talks about life in Australia and then we went and swept the market place with them as part of their weekly community service. The weekend has been filled with relaxing and snorkelling and some talks about our reaction to Timor and its complicated history. We have spent the afternoon driving up to an incredible lookout that gave us an idea of the layout of this beautiful little island. Tomorrow we are looking forward to visiting the SOLS students again and then visiting the primary school for some fun games with the younger students. Cheers- Matt, DD
