Fair estimate of time spent on Assignment 4 for my CS class; 2 hours. Im still not 100% comfortable with everything weve covered and yet I still managed to complete the assignment about 36 hours before it was due. This semester has been very lesson heavy; couple things Ive learned (between both classes) 1. When he says theres time sensitive material in the videos that == There time sensitive material in the video so take the freaking time to watch it ASAP. I totally missed an entire assignment! Ive been a Grad now for 3 years (for those not counting, I DID graduate in the spring and Im back for more!!!!), NEVER MISSED an assignment. Youre probably asking yourself, how could this happen. How indeed... I have a theory.... A couple weeks ago, I blogged about how I had a brain leak and my poor students were at the long end of a massive lecture and lab. It seems, that I was SOOOOOOO focused on building out EXTRA labs for my students, I completely failed to focus on my course work. The lab I had them do was worth it: Scan the forensic image; generate an ASCII wordlist from the file; use that to crack a password zip, feed the data back in the case file; rescan, reindex data and spit out new wordlist; bruteforce open a Keepass2 file; recovery the URL and Creds to an FTP server.. Yay... that was freaking fun. 2. Studying pays. But youre a Grad, you should know better.....Im still learning. This flashback is for those of you lucky enough to remember Paul Kipping and my EPIC lunch homework/project due-today-after-lunch routines performed in the back office of the Band Office. Its my nature to procrastinate... However; the years have been kind and now Im rather successful at it and I get As. Cant say I got As in HS for anything other than Band, and ONCE, Swapp gave me a B; WTF was that about. 3. Should have said N+1; Rants help calm the mind. Its possible they just might save you. Jake, keep posting, keep ranting; keep the fight alive. Honestly, I havent known what to say to this news; its just a short-term distraction and everything will be fine; I know it to be true. Soooo, enough on that. Updates; got an exam, couple finals and a project due in a couple weeks I need to get started on. For my 5 whole listeners, Ive got plans for 2 new mix releases: Constructor and Operator Overload - Trance and Progressive and Electro House and possibly a 3rd mix; more club/pop tracks. Gotta be a meeting in 6.5 hours..
