Fairway District UMM Cookout The Fairway District UMM cookout at Ebenezer UMC (724 Beaver Creek Road, Apex) will be on Tuesday, June 4. The men of Ebenezer will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. The meal begins at 5:30, followed by a District UMM presentation. All should be done by 7. The cost for this cookout will be $10 per person. Please let Bill Huggins know by May 31 how many will be attending from your group. His email is sanhug@gmail . NC Annual Conference (June 12 to 15) Mission Events Information United Methodist Women have been asked to make UMCOR Birthing Kits. Every 90 seconds, a woman somewhere in the world dies from complications during pregnancy or childbirth. 356,000 women die every year, most of the deaths occurring in the developing world. Birthing kits provide the essential items to promote a safe, clean delivery and to encourage good after care. Using a birthing kit can double a woman’s chance of surviving the birth. The birthing kits will be collected at Annual Conference in Hilton Ballroom E during the time of registration on Wednesday, June 12. (This is also the room that Stop Hunger Now will be doing its packaging event). The Stop Hunger Now meal packaging event will be held throughout Annual Conference.
