Faith Week Day 4: Firework by Katy Perry The last time I did - TopicsExpress

Faith Week Day 4: Firework by Katy Perry The last time I did something like this for Faith, I made mention of her love of music. She loved music more than almost anything. Sometimes when I hear a song, Ill think about how Faith mightve liked it. One artist Im sure my sister wouldve fallen in love with is Katy Perry. Hell, even I like Katy Perry to an extent. As sure as I am that Faith wouldve absolutely loved her music, Im equally as sure that she wouldve taken the song Firework and used it as her anthem. As she was always trying to reinvent herself after every stumble, I could totally see her turning up the radio as soon as it would come on, and telling everyone how great of a song it was because of the message it sent. The message being, that no matter how lousy you feel about yourself, you should always try to put your best foot forward, and give it your all so that the world had no choice but to notice how awesome you are. It was a message she always tried to convey to the people she knew. Especially those you suffer from the same disorders as her. She was well known for encouraging those in her group therapy, and at her clubhouse to be better, despite how they thought of themselves. As annoying as the song can be, it cant be disputed that it carries an important theme. Self love. Its an important thing to have. Its something that people who have depression sometimes fail to do. You need to see the greatness in yourself if you want the rest of the world to see it too. She worked hard to get herself to a place where she felt confident enough to put everything out there, no matter the risk. Sometimes it paid off, and sometimes not so much. Through it all Faith did her best to shine, and her memory still shines on in those who knew her. I love you, sis. Three more days until the big 3-5!
