Faith that Brings Result Part – 5 Acts 14:8-10 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mothers womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked. When we look at Paul, he preached the Word of God by before he could do that the paralysed man had already heard about Jesus. At this particular moment the development period may have been over and the person already had the faith and it got sparked and it moved into action. It was the spirit of God that told Paul that this man is ready for his harvest and that is why Paul loudly said “Stand upright on your feet.” What Paul asked him to do from a physical perspective was foolishness however this man believed and acted on it and he was healed. Faith gets ignited by boldness. When I was sharing during the Goa Youth Retreat and told the attendees about what Jesus had done on the cross and how through Jesus everyone could receive the gift of tongues. There was a lady praying for the gift of tongues for 15 years but she still did not receive. She had not realised that God will not give her but he has already given her and she needs to take it out of her spirit. We just have to renew our mind and believe in faith that we already have the gift. After she did that she opened her mouth and activated by speaking in faith and that is the time the spirit of God takes over. This is the time where the spirit of God uses that tongue to intercede Even though the anointing session was there for the youth retreat during all the four days none of them got the gift of tongues. Only after the Word was preached, the explanation was given on the gift of tongues through that understanding every youth without an exception received the gift of tongues.
