Jundis “Renewal should not be partial, but total.” The Gospel reading reminds us that putting our resources in the right place can enhance our spiritual life. There should be balance in life, while making the “needs” above the “wants.” For example, collection of beautiful religious objects should not replace our personal prayer and conversions. Having trendy fashion should not substitute personal growth or depth, or having a long list of contacts over having friends. Essentials should be kept as they are, essentials. Prayer: Help me, oh God, to appreciate the real value of things and people that come my way, that I may not waste the opportunity You provide me to deepen my relationship with You. Amen.
