Fake profiles Mostly girls and their pictures become victim of this issue....even though phone number verification required to use the facebook, there are many fake continuously being created.. is there any way to stay away from your pictures being used in fake profile? Yes you can by doing some privacy settings in your facebook. Note: Please refer to the pictures as well 1. When you upload a picture/status, make sure it’s visible to your “Friends Only”. By doing this, your post in facebook only visible to your friends in friends list. If they share your status/picture, their friends are unable to see it unless the mutual friends of your both profile. 2.Except Mobile Uploads, Timeline Pictures, Profile Pictures and Cover Pictures, you can change the whole privacy of any album to “Friends Only”. 3.The best thing you can do is choose “Close Friends” option. This option makes your status/pictures visible to who you really have trust by adding them in Close Friends. To do this, go to your friend profile who you want to add in your close friends list. On the top please click on “Friend” button and choose “Close Friend”. By choosing this option, automatically you will get the all the notification from his/her profile, but you can disable it by clicking “Get Notification” on the same option menu. Then when you update status/picture, choose “Close Friends”, so it’s only available to the friend who in the Close Friends List. You can change the album privacy also to Close Friends. 4.Custom Privacy Option. This option is to manually assign the person who can and who cannot see your status/pictures. By doing this, you profile maybe will stay away from fake profile creators. If there is fake profile on your name, I think you can easily detect who did that if you follow the Privacy Settings mentioned above.
