Falcons 36 -Leyland 36 Our black & white security 18s secured a vital point today at home to a strong warriors side. Falcons had 9 players unavailable for selection due to injury or holidays & only one recognised half backs in the starting13 made controling the game difficult as he sustainted a injury after 15minutes . The game started at frenetic pace with some hard work in defence by both sides with only a try between the sides with 10 minutes remaining of the first half. Highlight saw powerful falcons prop Ryan Jones going over on this debut. The warriors loose forward was thorn in falcons side alday and he crashed over in dying seconds to take score to 18-10 at half time . The warriors started the stronger and stretched their lead to 28 -10 after warriors forwards were imposing their physicality on the game and falcons linespeed wasnt at its best. Falcons brought on half back Dylan Rowe returning after a serious hip injury in early april grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck enabling a structure to return this brought the falcons back into the game. The leyland back struggled under the high ball and two trys came from their mistakes. The turning point came with two 90 metre inividual trys from Dylan Rowely and a further one from hooker Connor Kendrick which brought the game back too 32-36 with 5 minutes to play. Falcons forwards led by Dan Matthew gained yards against a tried Leyland team that where running out of steam. A great team try brought the game to 36-36 and the points shared as leyland missed a last gasp field goal. Well done lads massive team spirit #falconsRL
