Fall Festival Sunday, 4:00 - 7:00 pm Games, Hayrides, Balloon rides, Pet adoption, Free meal! Hello to the Avon UMC Family, What are you in control of? Would it be your actions, your attitudes or your words? Would you say you are in control of your life and that you have it all together, or are things spiraling out of control and youre just not sure where it will all shake out. This Sunday and Monday, I will be sharing with you a message entitled, We Are Not in Control, and I will be asking some pretty important questions concerning the choices we make and the consequences of those decisions. Plan on being with us this Sunday or Monday as we worship together as the Avon United Methodist Church family. See you there! Larry *Connie and I would like to share our appreciation to our church family for the many expressions of love, concern, and compassion during the loss of Connies mother last week. Even though we miss her dearly, we know the scriptural promises have been fulfilled, and we will see her again one day. We experienced and drew strength from your prayer support, and we wish to thank you for ministering to us. Reminders: *Kurtzs Coffee and Conversation will be this Saturday at 8:30 am at IHOP restaurant. All are invited. *During our Wednesday Evening Connection service, we will have Rev. Charles Harrison from the Barnes UMC and co-founder of the Ten Point Coalition sharing with us at 6:15. Dont miss this important evening of insight and motivation. *There are only four Monday evening services left before we take the winter break. If you have yet to attend a Monday service at 7:00 pm, I will look for you this Monday. Our first Get Your Hands Dirty for God! will be at Nehemiah Ranch on Saturday, October 11th from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Volunteer for one hour time increments. The sign-up sheet is located on the Missions board. *Pastor Larrys Bible Study continues to meet on Friday mornings at 9:00 am in the Conference Room. *Remember the Fall Festival this Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on the back lawn. Bring a covered dish to share. *If you missed a service, set your offering aside, and bring it with you the following week.
