Fall River Police (FRPD) have arrested two males and charged them with an armed robbery of a convenience store. The incident took place on Monday the 5th of January at approximately at 6:23 p.m. at Tedeschi’s located at 1237 Pleasant St. Fall River. The store clerks at the time, a 21-year-old female and a 26-year-old male reported to police that two males entered the store and displayed a knife demanding money while wearing a mask. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the register and the two suspects fled the area. Officer Derek Beaulieu along with other Uniform Division officers responded and secured the store and spoke to witnesses in the area. Witnesses informed police that the two suspects entered the doorway numbered 1280 Pleasant St. As police arrived at that location two males were seen leaving the doorway but not with the same clothing as described by the victims. Some officers followed the two suspects along Flint St. and detained them while others investigated the hallway at 1280 Pleasant St. In the hallway police found clothing and a mask with eye holes cut out of it. The two were arrested and charged with the robbery after gathering evidence in the form of witness statements and clothing found in the hallway along with a knife being seized. Arrested was 22-year-old David P. Fields of 977 Locust St. Fall River. He is charged with Armed and Masked Robbery, Receiving Stolen Property, Conspiracy, and Furnishing a False Name at Time of Arrest. Fields also had three outstanding arrest warrants charging him with A&B 2cts. and Vandalizing Property. These were outstanding warrants from 2013. Also arrested was Tyler Ferreira 24-years-old of 50 Willow St. Fall River. Ferreira is charged with Armed and Masked Robbery and Conspiracy.
