Fall has fallen where I live in Versailles - like a ton of bricks ! When I face the morning I immediately pulled out my wool lined Australian boots - sweatpants - and a long sleeved quilted shirt with a hood. The fire had been laid and was lit and burning as the coffee was brewing . Then I get a conflicting situation - there is a guy at the front door dressed for the beach - he’s from the phone company. The telephone repair man just paid our house a ‘repair visit’ to connect our new underground phone line - he was dress in a phone company short sleeved service shirt and matching work shorts . As I expressed surprise that he would work on Sunday - he explained that the company felt that keeping the elderly with updated communication at all time - kept the customers more at ease. Now I had a real quandary - my ‘elderly-ness’ was handed to me on a plate by a kid who was dressed like he was installing internet connections in Death Valley. Am I cold - or old - that’s the question?
