False Prophecy Something else in the church coming out of rejection is false prophecy and divination - words of knowledge that are soulish. God said the prophets prophesied out of their own spirit. Ezekiel 13:2-3 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou until them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus said the Lord God; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing! There is a difference in prophesying out of your spirit versus prophesying by the Spirit of God. If you prophesy out of your own spirit, it is just you talking. But when you prophesy by the Spirit of God, it is the Holy Spirit speaking through you. There is a big difference between the Holy Spirit speaking through you, and you speaking out of your own spirit. People with rejection become leaders of cults and the leaders of error.
