Fame can be a good thing especially if it offers one an edge in a contest! People can achieve fame and popularity through several ways. By simply choosing to do nothing, avoiding people and not participating in any form of social activity, one could achieve fame as an introvert or a recluse! The easiest way to achieve fame is by simply doing things, either good or bad, that attract the attention of the others. Choosing to lead a life different from the popular lifestyle or to hold a view or an opinion entirely opposed to a general opinion can bring one popularity. Meanwhile, most professions or careers are naturally designed to thrust fame and publicity on the practitioners. Members of these professions do not go about seeking fame and greatness because by virtue of making a career in those professions automatically puts them in the public domain. Such professions as acting, journalism, broadcasting etc easily come to mind! Basking in the warm glow of their success as well as their screen/TV popularity, some Nollywood greats are gradually moving into politics. Politics, as we all know, is a game of numbers. Your success/failure, as a politician, will depend on your popular acceptance and influence in the public domain. Such Nollywood names as Kenneth Okonkwo, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Desmond Elliot etc are household names that would not need any form of introduction. These people have made their mark on the screen and now wish to render service to the Nigerian public. Lets support them! #DPrince
