Family & Friends, I just have to share the highlights about my trip that son (Exodie) gave me to my home state. I would value greater than gold. Initially, he wanted to take me to Africa this summer and we started talking about where I came from and having my DNA tested. I said to him that it would be nice for him to understand my history of growing up in Arkansas first. Well, he agreed and said lets take a vacation together to Arkansas first since he hadnt been there since he was a child. We had so much fun from attending the Peake High Celebrations, 2nd of August picnic ( he had his 1st goat sandwich), attended church at Greater Pleasant Hill, visiting ALL of COUSINS (I love you much), spending the afternoon at DeGray Lake & Resort, the un-describable beauty Of Hot Springs, visiting President Clinton Library, seeing the many friends I grew up with, having lunch with older cousin Vivian, going to both my grand-fathers old Estates, visiting love ones passed ( cemeteries) and eating southern food, especially my cousins cooking. Wow! This was a great trip and I cannot tell you all how much I really enjoyed. There were a couple of extra highlights made possible by my cousin Maria Weaver that we will never forget. For my other children who are waiting to have this adventure, my schedule is free for next year. Smile. I AM SO ARKANSAS AND ARKANSAS WILL ALWAYS BE HOME FOR ME.
