Family & Friends, Today is the start of one of the greatest inventions ever……. AMERICAN FOOTBALL!!! I’m gonna share with you a secret about me, Ive been blessed with extremely talented skills of picking NFL & College football games. I’m gonna share with you some of my thoughts and picks for tonights games & allow you to have some insight of what its like to be a winner. Well without further delay here are my picks! 1. Baltimore at Denver 48.5 ML +7.5 Bal: 280 Den: -310 Denver has a lot to prove after losing in the AFC championship game to Baltimore last year. Denver started of slowly last year and picked up steam going forward. They boast on the league’s Greatest QB’s in NFL history in Payton Manning. Mr. Manning is the Technician! He one of the best to ever do when throwing to a slot receiver. He makes average slot receivers into allstar caliber player. This year he has an addition of one of the best slot players in the game with the addition of Wes Welker. Like Manning, Welker is a Technician as well. Precise route running and reliable hands. Mr. Welker has a tremendous chip on his shoulder as well. He was lowballed (DISRESPECTED) by his former employers the Patriots and he also missed a crucial catch last year that could’ve extended the Pats Season. I expect the duo of Manning to Welker to be called often this year without any hiccups. Denver also have to other explosive receivers in Demaryus Thomas & Erin Decker. Thomas is on the verge of being an Elite receiver and Decker is more than a solid number 3 receiver. Denver will have a running back by committee until one of the 3 running backs show they are ready to carry the load. Denver’s Defense has some issues. Defensively Denver lost Elvis Dummervill to free Agency and he will line up on the opposite side in tonight’s game. They also lost Von Miller. An elite linebacker and they will feel the significance of his presence. Champ Bailey is out with a sprained foot. Denvers defense was ranked 31st overall last year in total Defense. I think they have gotten worst on defense as of right now. Baltimore Ravens shocked many teams to reach the Big Game and win it. Lead by a great deal of leadership and marvelous play by Joe Cool Flacco & Aquan Bolden. Many people said that Aquan should have gotten MVP and I think they are right. Without his heroics, Baltimore would have been watching the BIG GAME instead of playing in it. Bolden was a cap casualty because of money due in large part because of the Big payday the Joe Flacco earned. Baltimore also saw the exit of one of the Greatest linebacker & safeties to ever play the game. Ray Lewis & Ed Reed… Their leadership was instrumental in their surge to win the superbowl last year. I believe it will take time to replace that type of leadership and I’m not sure if Terrell Suggs, Joe Flacco, & Ray Rice is ready to take on that role. Now that the hall of famers has moved on, Baltimore is expecting a lot from the 125 million dollar man in Joe Flacco. I believe Flacco is a good but he not worth 125 million dollars!! Baltimore still have one of the best running backs in the game with Ray Rice and a capable backup to that position. They are also expect Torrey Smith to replace Bolden and be a number one receiver. Baltimore will be without TE Ed Dickson but they have a suitable replacement in Dallas Clark. I believe Baltimore can move the ball on Denver’s soft Defense. But I’m not sure they have enough fire power to keep up with Manning at Mile High. Baltimore’s Defense has improved & they are also younger. It will be interesting to see who steps up and be a leader on that defense. I just believe that this isn’t the game to be experimenting. For that reason I’m Taking Denver the (OVER) 48.
