Family & Friends, Your Soldier came out of the Field Training Exercise (FTX) last night after a grueling foot march from their FTX site. All of them had to dig deep within themselves to finish with their platoons and Im happy to say they all did. All of this was after conducting countless missions, dealing with cold nights, and a tornado warning that forced me (company commander) to pull them out of the field to ensure no one was hurt during the storm. However, they remained motivated and accomplish every mission I gave them. It all culimated yesterday evening when they were given their finally mission to receive the coveted INFANTRY cross rifles. Once they made it back to the Company Training Area (CTA) we conducted a cross rifle ceremony on Bayonet Hill to commemorate the occasion (Bayonet Hill pictures will have fire in them). Im waiting on one more set of pictures to come in, so I can post all of them. Im very proud of all my Blackhawk Soldiers and you should be too. They achieve a wealth of knowledge on what it takes to become an INFANTRYMAN in 12 weeks of training. The pictures will be posted no later than tomorrow. Blackhawk 6
