Family from Liverpool. I remember George Lund, an artist, who did research on the history and geography of Liverpool explaining to me that Liverpool is build on three principle hills the rise up from the river. I liked that and wondered how many other places were similar in landscape. Two Cathedrals. The Anglican on the Mount that is a large Gothic style. Then the Catholic one, which Scousers nicknamed Paddys Wigwam, because of its architectural shape. It looks like a tent in shape. From what I understand to the history of the Catholic one. The original designs presented for it were to have a dome grander than that of the Vatican in Rome and that design was not approved otherwise it would be in competition architecturally. So, a new modern design was put forward and that was approved. I went to view them with my friends. I went to the Anglican with Angeline and wore a black lace scarf over my hair. We went in and stood where you could light candles. She lit candles for her family and friends and I did similar, but I kept lighting them. After standing for some while we looked at each other then at the amount of candles lit. We had filled the entire rack and laughed at each other. I exclaimed laughing and more a case laughing at myself: You think I am asking for too much! All the candles I had lit made me realise how much I wanted tings sorting and I had to laugh at my own idiosyncrasy and clear desperation expressed. I lit so many for many different thing and obvious ones, but to greater things transgressing and my own seeking of answers and resolve in life. Maybe a feeble act on my part and no more than wanting resolution to much. I paused and studied all the candles. I turned back to Angeline. Shall we go and see the Ladys chapel. My Great Grandfather worked as a stonemason and sculptor on it. Charles Dalrymple Kelly. He was not a Scouser, but from Scotland. We walked through the cathedral to the right hand area to enter the Ladys Chapel. It is undeniable art runs in our blood. Lucia, my eldest sister, and I in particular took very naturally to sculpture work in different media, as well as other art practices.. The reason I am qualified in welding and fabrication was to facilitate to do metal sculptural work. I abandoned my sculptural work and painting though for a time and moved into performance art and digital media and that is where for several years my creative practice remained.
