Family history: from the upper Afrika to eMbo now in the southern coast of South Afrika, My great ancestor Potelwa Jama kaDlamini was a descendent of the amaZizi tribe that once settled in the village known as Mhlophekazi in Ngcobo, all the way from different coasts that were as a result of seeking refugee after the wars of Imfecane initiated by the Zulu king Shaka kaSenzangakhona, dismantled from his community in Swaziland, he ended in Eastern Cape of what was called the Xhosa land, were having been to rivers such that of iTsitsa, iNciba and iTukela he finally settled, his sons later migrated to the now known as Bolotwa in Dutywa were they started officially using the name 'Potelwa' as their surname , being ofcause a name to their father, and Bolotwa now believed to be home to all the Potelwas around the world , in his lineage, he had married two wives from the AmaTshezi clan and from OoZibula clan, in each wive had 4 sons, which in total makes them 8 1. Mcambalala (ixhanti lamaPotelwa) 2. Mbulawa 3. Dantsa 4. Ndinisa 5. Elefu 6. Maqhina (iwele) 8 Cetywayo (iwele) 9 Ngqwirha (imfusi) we are very much believed to have many families that share sentiments with us like that of the Nkohlas( of the amaZizi) , but fortunately thina we are closely related in terms of culture, religion, and birthe, with these families -Nyathela -Mnqandi -Mfihlo and Jack ( that of amaZizi not the Radebez) i love my knowing my history!
