That, apparently, wont be any easier after this Fridays doctoral defense at NTNU in Trondheim of my younger brother Torgeir Bangstads doctoral dissertation Defamiliarization, Conflict and Authenticity: Industrial Heritage and The Problem of Representation, which deals with European industrial towns and sites which with EU funding have been turned into museums, from the Kokerei Hansa in Germanys Ruhr, via Odda in Norway to Blaenavon in South Wales.
