Family releases video of teen shot in drive-by MIAMI (WSVN) -- The family of a teen who was the victim of a drive-by shooting in Northwest Miami-Dade last week has released video of him recovering in the hospital. Bryce Brewton, 16, remains in Jackson Memorial Hospital with a bullet lodged in his head. In the video, he is seen for the first time since the shooting, alert and speaking. Im good, Brewton stated in the video. I would like to give thanks to my nurses and my family and friends for supporting me. Im just going to do everything I can do so I can go home. Brewton was one of nine people shot during a basketball game at Arcola Lakes Park, located at Northwest 87th Street and 17th Avenue, on Dec. 22. Despite his severe injury, Brewton remains hopeful. Pray for me. Im doing better. Ill be walking soon. When asked if he still wanted to play basketball, the teen replied, Not at the moment. Not outdoor, indoor. Brewton is expected to survive.
