Ive been breast feeding my daughter since she was born. shes a huge eater wieghing almost 13 pounds at almost 3 months. i had complications with getting her to latch on. so the lactation consultant at Lexington Hospital gave me these things that go over ur nipple called Shields. they allow people to breast feed in my opinion easier and less painfully. try them out. get them at walmart for $10. i hardly use nipple ointment and have never gotten chapped or raw or anything using the Shield. please try it if u cant get ur baby to latch on. just thought id share *Lisa
