Fan loss story: I wanted to share a story but since its not mine I wanted it to be done anonymously. Earlier this year my niece became pregnant with her second child, her and my nephew were beyond excited and immediately told the whole family! At her 6 week scan everything was perfect, baby had a strong heartbeat, then at 10weeks they did a routine scan and notices a cyst on babies neck. They ran a few tests and at 13 weeks baby was diagnosed with turners syndrome. My niece was told there was a chance the cyst would go away but with no way of telling they strongly urged her to abort. She told them no, even after many attempts to change her mind. When she put her foot down the doctor ordered weekly scans. A few weeks later the cyst on the babies neck had gotten bigger and they told my niece to prepare for the worst, at her 20week scan, they determined the umbilical cord was no longer supplying enough oxygen to the baby and she was induced. June 16, 2013 Laylani was stillborn. We were all devastated, my niece doesnt know why this happened but she loves her daughter more than words and she is forever in our hearts. #Alysha
