Fan-produced series continuing where the original left off. And... its actually good. I just watched the first episode, and it was well written, decently acted, and looks like it came right out of the 1960s. Except for the space exterior shots. Theyve gotten veterans of the original show involved (including an actor in the first episode reprising a role he played in the original), James Doohans son as Scotty, Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi from TNG) as the computer voice, and Grant Imahara from MythBusters as Sulu. And nods to the later shows, as well, including a new character who is Starfleets first on-board ships counselor. The quality is astounding. Color me impressed. If you are any kind of Star Trek fan, you need to start supporting this project.
