Fan question: Hi, you dont have to post but wondering if you can help. I have been exclusively breastfeeding for about 16 months now and this past week I started having very sharp shooting pains but worse on the left side. Well Sunday I started feeling very ill so I went to the er but the doctor said he doesnt do breasts. So he sent me away despite a rising fever and blood coming from my nipples. So I left shivering and shaking and very lethargic and freezing. I ended up in another er and by then had 102 fever. Well they didnt seem sure either but they did put me on antibiotics 4 x a day for 7 days. I feel better but I still have the pain also blood and pus when I pump. And even though my breasts feel full and tender when I pump Im not getting that much. Just a lot of pus sitting around my nipple. *Lauren*
