Fan says Re posted by: Marisa S. Please post anonymously. I am in desperate need of advice. My twin boys are 6 years old in first grade. One had intermittent explosive disorder and ODD. The other is usually pretty good but will torment his brother trying to make him react. They have been fighting for the past 2 years! They fight over EVERYTHING! I have to count goldfish crackers to make sure its even. They fight over seats in the dining room. They fight over beds. They fight over seats in the living room. They fight over everything. My one will ODD will not listen unless yelled at and threatened by myself or his brother or peers. The other hits constantly. And used household objects to hurt each other. We woke up at 9am its now 9:50 and they are sitting at the table writing I will not hit my brother and I will listen when someone talks 10 times each. We have a home therapist that comes every Saturday for 1-2 hours and works with us but I just cant take this anymore. We have a therapist because I was smacking them almost every day. I dont want to do that so I got some help but its only gotten worse. Im going crazy. Really really! Seriously I was thinking about checking into the hospital last week. We were recently trying to conceive again because we have always wanted more children but I feel now that the only reason I want more is to get a second chance to get it right. Maybe I did something wrong an I can do better next time. Then I think anymore children would replace the 2 I already have and thats no reason to bring a child into this world so I am now done! I will not have anymore. Please dont judge me I just need advice on what to do and I needed to vent. I see a therapist once a week and Im on meds but they refuse to medicate my child with ODD because he controls himself at school and never acts out. So since he can control himself at school they say he is playin us at home. Which of course pisses me off even more! What would other parents do?? By the way my husband works all day from 10am till whenever business slows down depending on the day 11pm-3am. He drives taxi in the city. He comes home daily at 3:30. He gets the kids from school and spends time with them while I cook we all eat together then he leaves at 6. and me an the kids do homework snack and bed. I have no supportive family their are no grandparents due to lack of respect of my religion a my husbands family lives across the Atlantic Ocean in Morocco.
