Fans of Doctor Who, Would you like to play a game? It would be an online forum-based text-only role playing game based on the show. No dice rolling just character acting. *No one* will be get to be The Doctor (or time-lord/OP-enemy/character from the show). Everyone is a misplaced but not forgotten companion of The Doctor. There must always be two people in the same location (at the same point in time) so that events can play out in a you write a paragraph from your character then Ill write a paragraph style exchange. Each time period will a separated group with all the locations locked inside. Rumours of overall game events can spread with players through connected areas of space via normal means (travelling/news/interplanet-radio/etc) but not time (unless a character jumps through time or writes a book/etc.). Every day(week?/month?) one player at random will get an email telling them they are The Doctor. The Doctor player can read the space-time-map that shows him where and when every player is and 10-words-or-less on each location (and each time) about the situation there. They will not be able to help or interact with their own character but instead have to travel to someone else to assist someone else. The Doctor is capable of anything the player can reasonably explain away. At the end of their time they have update the spacetime-map and write 20-words-or-less in The Doctors diary to help the next Doctor. Only the last 5 entries in the diary are kept. Players must forget everything they learned when returning to their own characters. It could work. The Doctor would hop madly about spacetime being amazing and trying to do everything thing at once despite really knowing what *is* going on (as the player controlling him has only deliberately scarce information about the universes problems the player isnt currently involved in with their character. The players themselves would be free to get into as much trouble as they wished. Be attacked by any enemy they can justify being attacked by (even Trance-L-Vain-Ian Hip Hop Vampire Robot Hamsters if you write it convincingly enough). All the time hoping The Doctor will eventually show up to fix everything and take them home. A shared Off Script forum would be for be for feedback, universe balancing, cries to the doctor for help, selling off DVDs/organs to pay my server bills, etc.
