Fantastic review for our Cloth Sanitary Pads Kit - thanks Monika for sharing! Im so happy with my order and dont normally write reviews or leave testimonials, but on this occasion I couldnt help myself! Id like to leave a testimonial for the sanitary pads I recently bought. I love the cheeky wipes I used on my first child and planning to use them again on my second (just ordered some more in different colours for face and hands). The ones I already have saved me a lot of money, and the best thing is they smell lovely when used with the oils and I never run out (thats something that used to happen to me all the time with disposable wipes! I never seemed to have enough of them at home because I always used them up so quickly). I started looking at other ways how to save money, but most importantly how to avoid infections I started getting recently with disposable sanitary pads. I searched loads of websites, blogs, and reviews and came across cloth sanitary pads. I wasnt impressed at first at all, especially the thought of using them, but after reading more and more about them it really made sense so I thought Id give them a go. Theyre much cheaper in the long run, eco friendly, and again, you cant run out as long as you do your washing regularly. After a couple of days of using these, all symptoms I had disappeared (there are no chemicals as in disposable pads), no more discomfort, thrush or infections. The pads are good size, incredibly soft and comfy, and once put in place using the poppers they dont move at all. Theres no glue to damage your underwear or stick to places you dont want as with normal disposable pads. After use I just soaked them in cold water (it has to be cold water to avoid staining the fabric) for about an hour and then washed them with my normal load. You could also soak them for a day or two or until you do your washing, but I think youd need to change the water in the container if you leave them there for a bit longer (I use the cheeky container for this, but I think a normal plastic container with a lid would do the same job, maybe one from the ice-cream?). If youre not at home when youre changing your pad, you can store them in a zipped bag and deal with it when you get home. Its really easy to look after them. Some of the reviews I read suggested that you dont use fabric softener cos it might affect the absorbency in a while, but I do use it for all my washing and so far all is fine. These pads are definitely more absorbent that disposable ones, much more comfortable and I just wish I came across them sooner. If I had to be really picky, the only thing I would change would be to make the wings 1cm wider - or make some kind of extendible thing to use as an optional that would attach to the poppers on the pad - similar to the ones you can buy for your bra - so the fabric on your underwear doesnt gather while wearing the pad (so the pad is a bit more straight), but again I think it depends on your size, and the size and style of your underwear. (Im between 12 and 14). Also I would love to buy these in sizes similar to pantyliners and pads for night. All in all, theyre fantastic!
