Fantastic start to the season today boys well done. First league game and it was away to skellig Fc, Mitchels avenue won the game 5-1. We got off to a flier inside 10 mins when the ball fell to Danny o Shea unmarked he knocked it home from about 6yrds. The 2nd came soon after when one of their players handled the ball inside his own area. David (Studdy) Hennessy stood up to take the spot kick drilling it home leaving the keeper no chance. We took the foot off the gas a small bit but just before half time Sean Riely buried his first of the season to make it a comfortable 3-0 at half time. We went into the 2nd half and the tempo picked up again, we were well on top ,an attempted cross from man of the match chris o sullivan managed to squeez through a sea of bodies and find the bottom corner. Chris Sullivan who was playin out of position on the left wing tormented their right midfielder and right back all day, burning them on numerous occasions. Mitchels avenue then like the first half left skellig back in the game a small bit and conceded a goal when one of their players beat the offside trap to slot home their only goal of the game. We got straight bk into the game and dominated again and at about the 85" Adam o Mahoney stuck a beautiful strike to make it 5-1. Dylan o Shea came on to replace Liam O Sullivan and titoun le prince came on to replace Adam O Mahoney. Great game played by all today wit every1 giving 100%. Onwards and upwards from here now boys!!!!
