Fantastic time, today, at the Smyrna Library, where I discussed Richs to a standing-room only crowd! Thank you, Bill Marchione (author of A Brief History of Smyrna, Georgia and Coordinator of the First Sunday Lecture Series for Smyrna Library) and Ruth Hayden (Technical Services Librarian, Smyrna Library, and Coconut Cake guru) for the incredible program. One of the greatest pleasures and honors of today, however, was meeting fellow Richite Diane Rice Schott! Its always a pleasure to meet kindred spirits; Diane, you are an inspiration! ;-) I also had two people bring in items to show me. 1. A receipt for Richs: Atlanta - Knoxville. A very cool item that I had never seen. Dates 1955-1961. Thank you, John Bretch, for bringing it in. 2. A purse and Richs bubble wrap. Thank you, Robin Lnenicka, for sharing.
