Fantastic to have two of the legends of the Carisbrook Football Club (MCDFL) Jackson Bowen and Luke Treacy. Both athletes have won numerous best and fairest awards, but their biggest achievement was winning a premiership!!! Looking for big things again in season 2015 the lads dropped down to the RAD centre to start putting in the hard work to help enhance their physical performance. Video highlights showing basic work on their running mechanics, focussing on bouncing on the balls of their feet increasing elasticity resulting in a more explosive more efficient athlete. Lateral hop developing their ability to produce force laterally to assist with change of direction. Moved into the shed getting into beast mode and smashing out some box squats - controlled eccentric (lowering) touch the box and then drive up. Focus on keeping knees out, band used above knees to emphasise glute control and hold knees in correct form. Conditioning with the prowler sled and battle ropes working on 1min efforts.
