FarCry4 Woes: Chapter 2 Obviously, I have been counting the minutes to this game release, so I wasnt about to go down without a fight. I Googled. I tried forums. I called my boyfriend. I even called Sony Tech support. Other than getting to joke around with a friendly CSR in Las Vegas call center, I got no results, other than the final diagnosis that my system was dead and promise of a shipping label with which to send it in for repair. Sony was very nice, but 22+ business days to play my new game was a very depressing thought. I tried to distract myself with some of my favourite old PS3 games, but gave up and slept away the afternoon. 10:30pm. My boyfriend calls me up. He says hes done some Googling and to follow his instructions. I roll my eyes and reluctantly try holding down the power button, turning on the controller, and other steps that have failed me all day long. God bless that silly optimist, I think to myself. He says to stand the system up on its side, and to call him back. 10:35pm. The system works!! No reinstalls, no system reconfiguration needed. It works. Marco Hernandez, you are my hero. I am sorry I ever doubted you. Sorry ladies. I am keeping him. 10:37pm. No more facebooking for me tonight. I have a game to devour! -ajc PS> Seriously, Sony? Stand the thing up on its side? Apparently, no amount of technological advancement is going to get us past the whole jiggle the switch, unplug it and plug it back in, kick it method of fixing our machines.
