Farce elections cannot change our path and passion for freedom….. JKLF leaders and activists’ continue their election boycott campaign…..visit various areas and ask people to stay away from polls...condemn arrests and reign of terror Srinagar // Farce elections cannot change our path and passion for freedom. Manipulated elections are always harmful and detrimental to the interests of people of Jammu Kashmir. Therefore people of Jammu Kashmir who have laid sacrifices for the sacred cause of freedom should understand the ill consequences of these so called elections and boycott them. This was stated by the zonal organizer of JKLF Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri while leading a delegation of JKLF senior activists Younis Ahmad, Ashiq Ahmad and Imtiyaz Ahmad to various areas of Srinagar. Delegation visited Amira kadal, Lal Chowk, Gaw Kadal,Basant Bagh,Habakadal and Barbarshah while as another JKLF leader professor Javed led delegation visited areas of Mujgund and Lawaypora . A door to door campaign was held in these areas and JKLF leaders stressed upon people to stand vigilant against the nefarious designs of India and its local stooges who through intimidations, fear psychosis and bribe etc try to fool them and ask them to participate in so called elections. JKLF leaders and activists also distributed pamphlets at Amira Kadal Bridge and adjacent areas among people and appealed them to boycott upcoming elections. While condemning the spree of arrests in Srinagar JKLF leader said that during nocturnal raids police has arrested thousands of youth. Police last night raided the houses of many JKLF activists and other youth in Dargah Hazratbal and arrested dozens of youth including Mohammad Inayat Bhat, Azhar Bashir, Bashir Ahmad Sofi,Aasiq Nazir,Imran Ahmad Chakla ,and Wasim Sodagar etc. police in Kulgam have unleashed a reign of terror against youth and family of detained JKLF deputy district president Assadullah Sheikh was abused and harassed when they went to meet ailing Assadullah in police station. JKLF leaders strongly condemned this police high handedness. ENDS
