Farewell 2014! Its been another fantastic year for Pear Tree Weddings - so, as is becoming the tradition here, well have a quick look back at the year! Well, we have successfully completed 217 weddings, covering a staggering 15,109 miles, Morris was the busiest VW with 62 trips. Daphne and Basil both completed their first weddings for us, and took on an incredible 54 weddings between them (amazing as we only started taking bookings for them last spring). What was new in 2014? Well we had 217 new happy couples....we bought Bruce the beach buggy (who is, as I type, in for a complete make over, new roll cage & new sparkly wrap - cant wait to share pictures of him when he is complete). We also just scraped in with buying another split screen campervan - Bernie, the blue bus (ideal as blue is such a popular wedding colour). Pear Tree Weddings also : Launched a new fabulous website Recruited two new chauffeurs to join the existing experienced team Recruited a new Head Office admin team Refurbished and created a new office shed Acquired a new barn in which we store our VW fleet So its been quite a busy year, and we wouldnt have it any other way! Already we have over 160 weddings booked in for 2015, and over 30 for 2016, and 4 for 2017......so the next few years are looking as though they may be quite busy too! So, time for a little rest for a few days, and then we will start the preparations for the new wedding season. We would just like to thank all the brides & grooms for being such great clients, thank you for all the Thank You Cards, thank you presents & the thank you flowers - we have been really overwhelmed by your gratitude this year! Thank you also to our friends in the wedding industry, those running local wedding venues, who always make us so welcome, and finally to our friends and family who are finally getting used to our VW obsession. .....for now Happy New Year, and congratulations to all of you who became engaged over Christmas & New Year, Jo x
