Farewell Of Slavianka - Zara and Dimitri Pevtsov - this music was inspired by the sight of Bulgarian women standing on a railroad platform seeing their husbands off the First Balkan War. As such, it is more of a soldiers song than a song for the soldier. Later, the music was turned in to a military marching ban music to drum up the war passion. When I put this version by Zara and Dimitri up, I was reprimanded by some Russian people that I was not showing a more authentic Slavianka. You can decide what this song is about by reading the translated lyrics. I believe the Soviet highjacked the song and turned into the sound of goose-steps. Zara is an ethnic Iraqui Kurd. Iraqui Kurds should be proud of her. Gassing Kurds would not silence her voice. https://youtube/watch?v=r7avPl6jB5w
