Farewell to 5 of my lovely Hedgehogs today! My numbers were up to 24 which has been extremely difficult. A juvenile in yesterday and another today. Another carer in Luton has kindly taken these 5 hedgehogs for the final hurdle because they are now healthy and raring to go! She will monitor them for a week outside and providing they pass making their nests, foraging etc and fingers crossed the weather is mild, then they will be released to a couple of beautiful gardens in Hardenden. If not, then they will be overwintered and allowed to hibernate in rabbit hutches in her shed. Heres some final photos of them....
