Faris was riding at the back of Toh Dons BMX bike when his little right toe got in between the bike chain and the chain gear breaking his little toe and almost severing it. I am 300 kms away and his mom was in the hospital working. Good thing his Lola was able to bring him immediately to the hospital and Dr Mommys friends like Dr Asid Imlan was able to do seven stitches and cast the foot. We will know by tuesday if the blood flow to his toe will normalize and his toe will be saved. The thought of my son losing his small little toe, and the confirmation of it being retained or needing to be amputated will be known on tuesday, breaks the rythm of my heart into heavy and fast and makes even breathing difficult. But then, even in such accident, I must pray to Allah and give thanks that my loving little boy faris is ok and still smiling. His mommy saw him in the hospital already and was no longer crying but was actually more concerned perhaps of what mommy would say as mommy had told him and his brother not to to ankas in the bike. Such brave boy. I just got a preview of the feeling of a father when his son is hurt. How the prayer is that he will be back to normal. But the eerie and scary thought that he could lose his right toe for life almost zaps all my energy even for breathing. Get well soon my boy faris. Thanks mommy for being there. Thanks Innah and Kah Nash for rushing Faris to the hospital. Thanks Angel for giving your younger brother toh don a very long lecture after the incident. Toh Don I know you are sorry, but next time follow what mommy says and always be careful when you play with your brothers. You are 8 and they are only 4 and 3, they dont know how to see danger. I will not spank you when I see you but we need to have a very long one on one talk. You must be more responsible for your younger brothers. You are the kakah and you must act like one. Your Baba is always far at work and I need you as my eldest son to watch over your little brothers and even kakah angel. As I cry for the little broken toe of my beloved cute and charming little son faris, I could not help even feel more sad and be emotional on the fathers and mothers in Gaza whose children are not just getting their little toes broken, but their little toes, little feet, little hands, little bodies, little heads, little spirit and little lives... May Allah grant us health and happiness in this world as well as contentment for what Allah has bestowed on us. May Allah light the hearts and minds of those who may be causing injury and pain to others. May Allah keep our beloved children and loved ones safe and healthy. Rabanna Atina Fiduna Hasana wa fil aqhirati hassana waqina adha bannar.. Alhambdullilah. Allahu Akbar.
