Farm gardener, handyman Knysna, Western Cape We have a permanent position for a A capable multi talented Groundsman / Gardener / Horse care / Handyman - at our small eco forest Retreat & Lodge just outside Knysna. YOU NEED TO BE * Fit and healthy * Non drinker and smoker * Responsible * Honest * Hard working * Reliable * Friendly to Guests and other Staff * Speak GOOD english * Love animals * Be kind * Be neat and tidy and take care of tools etc * A good time keeper * Be able to use power tools, a chain saw and lawnmowers, weed eater etc * You will need to be prepared to live in and be a caretaker too after hours THE JOB WILL BE ABOUT * Care for a very large garden * Handyman jobs * Horse and Stable care * Vegetable garden * Guest welcoming * Handyman maintenance like painting, fixing, building, carpentry etc * Some housekeeping (from time to time) TIMES * Is 5.5 days week * 7.30am - 5.30pm * Weekends on Duty * 1.5 days off in the week YOU MUST HAVE * Permit to work in SA (If foreign) * Valid passport (if foreign) * Contactable work references * Letters of recommendation by previous Employers * Drivers License for a small car * Good English WE OFFER * A permanent position * A friendly pleasant working environment * A small Cottage to stay after 2 months trial period ( this will form part of your Wage) * An annual bonus for the right hard working loyal person * 3 weeks leave per year WE NEED * You to email us your CV * Written references * A photograph of yourself * Contactable references with phone nos of previous employers in South Africa * Letters of Recommendation Please know we will check these before interviewing you.
