Farooq, Omar greet people on Eid-i-Milaad (SAW) KT NEWS SERVICE SRINAGAR, Jan 3: Patron National Conference Dr Farooq Abdullah and Working President NC, Omar Abdullah have greeted the people on the eve of Eid-i-Milad Ul Nabi (SAW). In a statement, both the leaders have greeted the Muslim Ummah especially Muslims of the state on the eve of this holy occasion of Eid-i- Milad (SAW). In his message, Dr Farooq Abdullah described Islam as the religion of peace and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) an embodiment of love, equality and brotherhood. He said the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) are way towards the right path for all humans. “Muslims and as well as Non-Muslims scholars have accepted this fact that Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is an exemplary personality in the entire universe which can be gauged from their holy life and behavior towards people, which is a perfect example of their greatness,” Dr Farooq said. “Our holy Prophet (SAW) brought an end to the issues like racism, ignorance and killings of daughters, which had otherwise plagued the world. We should follow the teachings of Islam in letter and spirit to attain success,” Dr Farooq added. Reminding the people of Prophet’s (SAW) teachings, he said the sincere service to public and generosity towards poor and needy had been listed on top by the Prophet of Islam (SAW). “The need for imbibing the virtues of peace, love, compassion and humility as taught to us by our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) is as great today as it was at any time before,” Dr Farooq said. Farooq urged the divisional administration to take all necessary steps and make elaborate arrangements in view of the Eid-i-Milad (SAW) . He said ample arrangements should be made all across Kashmir valley and particularly at the holy shrine of Dargah Hazratbal till Friday following Milaad (SAW). Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah while appealing the people to follow teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said Almighty Allah had sent the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as Rehmatan-Lil-Aalmeen (merciful and compassionate for the entire cosmos and all the worlds). “We are proud that we are followers of prophet (SAW). The entire life of the Holy Prophet (SAW) was a source of great inspiration and guidance for the Muslims to follow and to succeed in their lives,” Omar said. “I pray to Allah to give us the wisdom and guide us on the path to dedicate ourselves to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). I pray to Allah to rekindle our souls with the light lit by the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him),” Omar added. Meanwhile, Party Senior leaders, Sheikh Nazir Ahmed (Advocate), Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and Party general Secretary Advocate Ali Muhammad Sagar have also felicitated the entire Muslim Ummah on this holy occasion.
