Fascinating look from The New York Timess Upshot team at economic diversity at colleges. Im ashamed that my alma mater, Princeton University, comes 7th out of the 8 Ivies—and in the mid-30s overall. For a school that claims to be in the nations service, this is dreadful. Im sure it will issue some statement saying its doing better than ever, but given that ever was dismal, its not saying that much. Princeton has by far the biggest per-student endowment, and it never stops asking us for money. It can do more.
