Fashion was often more important than warmth when it came to evening or opera wraps. The first one has wide sleeves and is draped on each side in a gold silk lame from 1914. The second one is a silk with a tulle overlay with bat wing sleeves and lots of black sequined trim from 1912 from Paris. The last one is a Worth Original from 1912 also from Paris. It is printed silk brocade and the collar and sleeves are trimmed in fur. It is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
