Fast Note on Snow: We are occasionally seeing snow crop up in the long range outlooks, especially after Sunday the 11th. In some cases, model runs are showing signs of a 2-4 (inches) of snow for some of these days. While there are some model runs which feature snow chances for a few of these days, well only say that there is a chance... That being said, it has been common for the models to show chances early on and the later drop them. We are continuing to cycle down to Winter temps (remember, Winter has only just began), and I am holding to my Winter Outlook from late August that says that this Winter is going to be a hard one and feature a good amount of the white stuff. So, have some hope yet that it will, eventually snow. Still, until the models and my own experience about what seems right for us in the Tennessee Valley show very strong signs that something is afoot... I wont say it will for sure snow at X time Just be aware, there are chances coming up, and with the frequency and intensity of some of these systems weve seen lately, it would be a good/safe thing to prepare for a weather system that locks down the area at some point. Long Winter ahead of us still... no telling what will occur. Whenever something does crop up, well be sure to let you all know. ~SM
