Fast food companies like McDonald’s and Burger King often respond to criticism by claiming theyve replaced ads for burgers, fries, and soda with “healthy food” like milk and apples. But new research demonstrates that kids may not have picked up on these changes. When researchers showed kids commercials from McDonald’s and Burger King, the children consistently mistook the apple slices for French fries -- only 10% identified the apples slices as apples.
