Fatal Attraction - 1987 Hollywood movie:- ( She has Borderline Personality Disorder--a disorder characterized by a pervasive pattern of instability of self-image, interpersonal relationships, and affect (i.e., mood) and marked impassivity present in a variety of contexts. 1) frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment (when she cuts her wrists when Micheal Douglas goes to leave the house, when she shows up to his apartment pretending to be an interested buyer ) 2) pattern of intense and unstable interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation (i.e., she loves someone then hates them)--her with Micheal Douglas--shes smitten with them, they hit it off-the infatuation is almost too good to be true, then when he tries to end the affair, she demonizes him, but also pleads for his return (and seeks revenge at the same time) 5) recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior--when she cuts herself when Micheal Douglas attempts to leave the apartment (note--a single behavior can be representative or more than one symptom) 6) affective instability due to marked reactivity of mood--when she mopes because he doesnt go to Madaam Butterfly with her 8) inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controling anger--when she yells at Micheal Douglas and kicks him in the back as he goes to leave her house to go home, when she yells at the operator when she is looking for Douglas phone number--she is sitting on her bed with a bunch of junk food (note that junk food binge eating could count as another symptom--impulsivity that is potentially self-damaging--in order to fully meet that criteria though you must find evidence of another thing she does that is self-damaging and impulsive besides cutting herself) 9) transient stress related paranoid ideation or severe dissociation--you might say dissociation when she mindlessly turns the lamp on and off when she is at home because Douglas didnt go to Maddam Butterfly [Ref: Yahoo answers, Inside The Mind Of A Borderline] https://youtube/watch?v=GY_NQK7rJrY
