Fatal Hit & Run Crash Update: On September 21, 2013, Officers of the Kokomo Police Department responded to the residence at 4043 Highland Springs Drive. While officers were conducting a separate investigation at the residence, officers discovered possible evidence that pertained to a fatal hit and run crash that occurred on September 12, 2013, at the intersection of 300 South & Highland Springs Drive. Thirteen year-old Christian Reede and his thirteen year-old passenger, Dante Brown was struck while riding a moped. Christian Reed died as a result of this crash. Crash Investigators and Criminal Investigators served a search warrant on the residence for possible evidence. Investigators seized a grey 2006 Ford Escape believed to be the suspect vehicle involved in the fatal hit and run crash. No arrests have been made at this time. This case remains under investigation.
