Fate may well have seen that they make the first few steps themselves to mould their perceptions and ideas in such a way that the outcome would be accepted with greater ease and understanding. The hardship endured along the way may have been to strengthen their emotional threshold in preparation for the long sought after answer. One must learn to walk before one runs. Perhaps the great lengths they had gone to on their quest had gradually inflected their thoughts onto a line more coincident with that of the elusive truth.
