Father God, I fervently pray that your hand of blessing will be on the rally I have planned at Tamms Correctional Center on May 10th. I ask that every detail, every volunteer, everything that I have need of will fall into place because it is what you have placed on my heart to do. I ask that you would bless it. That you will compel employees, union leaders, community members as well as pastors to join this gathering. I ask that this be the largest gathering of all. My heart was broken over a year ago, when a hurting worker uttered those heart wrenching words when the shuttering of this facility was announced, God hates southern Illinois. I believe that God you have called us for such a time as this. Correctional employees across the state of Illinois, and indeed around the world will have their eyes fixed on Tamms. They are watching to see if communities will rally for a righteous cause. God I pray that every community member answers the call. My hearts cry is that they will be like the Good Samaritan who bound the wounds of the hurting man and did not pass him by. I believe that this is the desire of your heart as well. We are our brothers keeper! In Jesus name I pray.- Amen!
