Father God has such a sense of humor... Today I needed to install a door in the studio. I found a perfect size door that matched the trim boards in great shape downstairs in our board room. I cleaned it off and trimmed the bottom and sanded down the cut edge. Simple! Then I remembered seeing some hinges on another door that I could use to make the install. I even found some beautiful trim boards for the door jam that were almost a perfect fit! I even found a door handle I had laying around and after searching my truck, I even found 3 keys to unlock it! Then I got everything in place but soon realized I couldnt find the pins for the hinges. I knew that they had to be close by so I cleaned my shop, no pins. Looked everywhere in the basement, no pins. Searched old doors, no PINS! Went up to the top loft and found some really cool 100 year old doors but, yep, no Pins. Ashley found two old packages hidden in one of the rooms. Wrapped with old paper and tied with twine that looked to be over 50 years old. We thought we stumbled upon something very VALUABLE! As we each opened the packages, filled with excitement, we started laughing! Inside.... Vintage door hinges with....NO PINS!! Good one God! You had me on a goose chase all day long and at the moment I could almost hear You laughing hysterically in Heaven. So I smiled and grabbed 3 long screws... Done! Anyone else have any stories like this?
