Father for the BrokenHearted! Heartache and pain are powerful motivators. When people say and do hurtful things, its usually because theyve been hurt themselves. When we realize this fact and we keep it in the back of our minds, it becomes easier to respond with love and compassion. Furthermore, its important that we examine our own hearts to make sure that *we* are not still plagued by past hurts. If not dealt with, pain can often be deeply ingrained in our souls, and therefore, difficult to overcome...but God can do it. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).
